LAWL

Once again, I was browsing Google to find a subject for my next post. This is when I came across this picture. I am not going to lie, but I definitely laughed when i first saw this. Not because I think it perfectly portrays a woman because I do not think that but because it is showing a woman as psychotic. Nothing is bad enough to threaten someone with a hit with a frying pan to the head. This is showing a woman as aggressive and a man as scared. I know that this is a stereotype; a woman gets mad when someone messes with their kitchen supplies or food they make. But even without the woman being mad, it is still a stereotype; the woman is the one that is cooking and not the man. Supposedly, women are supposed to be the ones cooking and no one is supposed to mess with them, that is unless you want to get hurt! But when I think about this in a different way, I also see how it can indirectly portray a different stereotype. The woman is actually taking on a stereotype of a male as being abusive and the male is taking on a stereotype of a female as being weak and not being about to protect herself. This picture could also being trying to make is seen that its not just men who can be abusive and women who can be weak. What's your take?
